Help John Fischer

The Road to Recovery

John’s Story

On March 19, 2019, my brother John Fischer suffered a massive Brain Stem Stroke that also affected 4 other parts of his brain (5 strokes in all). The doctors said that if he wasn’t a former Marine, he would not have survived. His parents, siblings, 3 children and dear friends have been at his bedside these first few weeks to provide emotional support, and he has made miraculous progress.

John’s Needs

First can I thank my mother publicly for barely leaving John’s side since this happened mid-March? John loves visitors, so if you are in the Boca Raton area, please consider visiting him at my mother’s home. Please use the contact form on this page to inquire.

We are so very thankful for the hundreds of people who continue to keep John in their prayers. I truly feel that God has had a hand in his miraculous recovery simple because of so many people rallying to get him well. For the latest prayer requests, please refer to the last posting under “John’s Road to Recovery,” and thanks.

As we focus on his recovery, we are now concerned about his expenses. He is no longer able to work and won’t be for quite some time, and his Veterans (VA) benefits are not adequate to cover the necessary Physical Therapy and rehab.  Coupled with his monthly expenses, he needs help. Any contribution would be a blessing. 100% of the proceeds will go directly to John.

We have setup a GoFundMe account, but if you prefer direct payment methods such as Venmo or Paypal, or to send a check, please use the contact form on this page to contact me, and I will get you the information you need.

Thank you so much for all your support.
~Angie (John’s sister)
